fennec fox
The fennec fox has a lot of adaptations to its enviroment in order for it to survive which are based on its body structure. This type of fox lives in very hot and dry enviroments therefore needs very specific adaptations in order to survive. The fennec fox obtains very large ears which help with dissipcation of excess body heat due to it been very hot. As well as structure, some of there body systems are adapted as well. They are able to live in the desert without free water. The kidneys of tbis fox are adapted to restrict water loss. The burrowing that they do causes the formation of due which they can consume and thet rest of the water is through the food that they eat. Due to them been nocturnal the water loss is decreased. Thick fur may be a bad thing in high heat but when they cold of the night comes the fennec fox keeps very warm during the night. The colouration of the foxs' fur helps it to reflect heat instead of absorbing heat; it also acts as a great camoflage. The thick fur on the bottom of the fennec foxs' feet is considered an insulator from the hot heat so that they do not burn their paws. As well as being an insulator it helps give them a lot of traction on the sand that they live on.
